    SALARY

    The compensation for this position is $21.13 per hour and is negotiable depending on experience.

    POSITION SUMMARY

    The Customer Relations & Alaska Charter Specialist works with major accounts to quote freight and/or charters and monitors shipments for timely movement. Monitors and audit programs for revenue assurance for major accounts. Develops understanding of customers' needs within key accounts to provide better service levels and strengthen relationships. Works cross functionally with operational departments to ensure customer satisfaction.

    DUTIES
    • Review status of current major accounts and prioritize customers immediate needs.
    • Audit for accurate rating and billing of key accounts
    • Coordinate delivery, accurate tracking, and billing key customer and third-party vendors to ensure completion of deliveries and final payment to vendor is issued.
    • Resolve customer's issues and concerns, provide shipping quotes, and follow up services.
    • Provide customer sales and pricing support for the Alaska charter markets.
    • Build and maintain strong customer relationships.
    • Coordinate bid quotes with the Flight Scheduling Department to ensure availability of resources.
    • Perform customer outreach to business customers offering NAC services and products.
    • Create and execute charter contracts in compliance with NAC pricing and procedures.
    • Work directly with sales managers to strengthen understanding of customer and community needs.
    • Maintain a positive and professional attitude.
    • Utilize company issued communication devices (computer, phone) in a professional manner.
    • Represent NAC through participation in Anchorage and Alaska based community and customer events, as required.
    • Other duties as assigned.
    POSITION QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS Education

    High school diploma or GED required.

    Experience
    • Six months sales related experience required.
    • Minimum one year of recent professional administrative office experience required.
    • Transportation sales, logistics, or brokerage experience preferred.
    • Must demonstrate a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
    • Must be able to utilize Excel including building and use of formulas.
    • Able to prepare and complete forms effectively and collate data and information.
    • Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
    • Must be professional and courteous with all customers.
    • Ability to take direction and management feedback in a positive manner.
    • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers and decimals.
    • Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages.
    • Understand of dimensional calculations and limitations with size/weight ratios
    • Must be able to occasionally lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
    • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test, background check, criminal history check and security threat assessment.
    LANGUAGE AND COMMUNICATION SKILLS
    • Must have superior written and verbal communication skills.
    • Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to interact well with coworkers and customers.
    • Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and training materials.
    • Ability to effectively communicate information in one-on-one and small group situations.
    • Must have a working knowledge of computers and Microsoft Outlook
    • Interacts regularly with the public over the phone and via email.
    • Exceptional phone skills
    WORK ENVIRONMENT
    • Primarily works in an office setting with adequate lighting and ventilation and a normal range of temperature and noise level.
    • Occasionally attends outdoor events and may be exposed to heat and cold and inclement weather.
    • May be exposed to fumes and loud noise.
    PHYSICAL EFFORT
    • Frequently required to sit, see, speak, listen stand, and walk.
    • Able to lift, push and/or pull up to 50 lbs.
