Alabama Baptist Children’s Homes has an excellent full-time opportunity for a Donor Relations Specialist. This position assists the Donor Relations Team in providing comprehensive services in support of the Ministry’s vision, mission, goals, and engagement philosophy. Using strong organizational skills, the Donor Relations Specialist employs exceptional record-keeping abilities with strong attention to detail. Primary duties include: accurate and timely entry regarding donors and gifts; maintaining the integrity of the database’s records; assisting with reports; ensuring timely and accurate delivery of donor acknowledgments.

College degree preferred with at least on year of administrative, clerical, or data entry experience, preferably in a nonprofit or faith community, or the successful completion of the program of study related to record keeping and administration. Type 60 wpm or higher with 95% or above accuracy. Ability to learn the donor records management system, as well as process, enter, and receipt gifts effectively and efficiently. Experience using Blackbaud’s Raiser’s Edge NXT preferred. Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, especially Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and TEAMS. Proven ability to work as a member of a team and adjust quickly to changing requirements. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Meticulous attention to detail. Ability to think both analytically and creatively.
