    Position

    The Grant Research and Data Coordinator is a full-time role reporting to the Senior Director of Marketing and Development. This position collaborates closely with the Grant Manager and Development Manager, playing a crucial role in the Marketing and Development team. The primary responsibilities include proactively identifying grant and funding opportunities for various initiatives and programs, as well as ensuring the accuracy and cleanliness of donor data within the organization’s CRM system, Giveffect.com. The coordinator will become the organization’s expert in managing and maintaining this database.

    Additionally, the Grant Research and Data Coordinator will work in close partnership with program leadership staff to oversee, review, and compile reports. This includes ensuring the accuracy and integrity of participant files, electronic records, and program data/outcomes.

    This is a hybrid position that does not directly supervise other staff. Could become fully remote after initial training.

    Responsibilities

    Grant Research

    • Proactively identify and research grant or funding opportunities for various initiatives and programs.
    • Conduct foundation research to locate potential sources of grant funding.
    • Collaborate with staff and board to evaluate, prioritize, and target prospects for corporate and foundation grants.
    • Build and nurture relationships with existing and past funders.
    • Work closely with research and grants staff to prepare grant reports and support organization-wide research activities, including data collection, evaluations, and analyses.
    • Maintain accurate information about funders, including giving history, areas of interest, and grant tracking/reporting.
    • Collaborate with the leadership team to identify funding gaps and apply for funds based on program and organizational needs.

    Data Management

    • Oversee and maintain the hygiene of donor data within the organization's CRM (Giveffect).
    • Assist the RCF’s Marketing & Development team in identifying and resolving data errors.
    • Learn and serve as the expert and go-to person for organization’s CRM (Giveffect)
    • Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques, and provide ongoing support.
    • Design, develop, and implement regular reports for various audiences, including staff, board members, and donors.
    • Analyze programmatic data to identify strengths and gaps.
    • Gather and analyze Information skillfully to develop creative solutions for data management issues.
    • Develop and submit deliverables/reports to leadership staff.
    • Track outcomes and monitor progress toward meeting established goals.

    Additional Responsibilities

    • Attending agency meetings as directed by the supervisor.
    • Perform additional tasks, projects, and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.
    • Be receptive to hands-on support, coaching, and professional development training.
    • Foster and maintain working relationships with prospective and existing donors, community members, RCF staff, and the board of directors.
    • Participate in events outside of typical work hours, including the annual staff strategic planning offsite, annual staff social day, etc.
    • Be available to work outside of typical business hours as needed.

    Required Qualifications

    • Minimum of two years of experience in data management (preferred)
    • Minimum one year of grant prospecting, experience conducting foundation research and identify opportunities for new grants (preferred)
    • Experience with data entry and CRM systems, (i.e. Salesforce, Raiser’s Edge, etc.), Must be able to perform electronic data entry
    • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams), Google Drive. Familiarity with CRMs,
    • Familiarity with project management platforms and online communications platforms such as Teams, Google Docs, Zoom, etc.
    • Must have adaptability to adopt new software and technologies and participate in the development of new such systems by providing feedback
    • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills, including customer service focus in working with all internal organizational levels and external contacts
    • Must be highly collaborative within a team environment
    • Team player with the ability to work independently and collaborate across departments.

    Salary and Benefits

    • The position is a full-time exempt position.
    • The salary range is $59,000 to $65,000.
