Position Overview:
As the Director of Operations for Harvest Preparatory Academy Charter Schools, you will play a critical role in overseeing the efficient and effective functioning of our educational institutions. You will be responsible for managing operational activities across multiple campuses, ensuring seamless coordination among various departments and stakeholders. Your primary objective will be to enhance the overall operational efficiency, effectiveness, and quality of our charter schools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize operations across all campuses.
- Collaborate with the executive team to establish operational goals and objectives aligned with the school's mission and vision.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and support to campus administrators and staff, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Oversee the development and management of the annual budget, ensuring financial sustainability and efficiency.
- Monitor financial performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective measures as necessary.
- Collaborate with the finance department to develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and controls.
- Manage the overall maintenance, safety, and security of school facilities, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and suppliers to ensure the timely procurement of necessary resources and services.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize the utilization of resources, including classrooms, equipment, and technology.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and policies governing charter schools.
- Monitor and analyze operational risks and implement appropriate risk management strategies.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to compliance, licensing, and accreditation requirements.
- Collaborate with the HR department to recruit, select, and onboard qualified staff members.
- Oversee performance management processes, providing guidance and support to campus administrators.
- Develop and implement professional development programs to enhance staff skills and knowledge.
- Oversee all food service contracts manage and ensure quality and satisfaction.
- Oversee Transportation Management and ensure quality and proficiency.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in business administration, or a related field (preferred not required).
- Proven experience in educational leadership, preferably in a charter school or similar educational setting.
- Strong knowledge of charter school operations, regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Demonstrated experience in budgeting, financial management, and resource allocation.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to lead and motivate teams, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.
- Knowledge of current trends and best practices in K-12 education.
