The Director of Operations will oversee the day-to-day activities of the company, ensuring that the organization is managed and performing efficiently and effectively.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

The following description of work to be performed by this individual is not intended to be all-inclusive. Rather, it focuses on the major tasks that must be accomplished. There are many necessary activities to satisfy any of the following performance guidelines.

• Establishes quantitative and qualitative metrics, guidelines, and standards by which the company’s efficiency and effectiveness can be evaluated; identifies opportunities for improvement.
• Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates plant procedures.
• Implements existing policies and procedures to improve day-to-day operations.
• Ensures work environments are adequate and safe.
• Assist with maintenance scheduling for all plant and warehouse equipment.
• Oversees manufacturing leadership, ensuring each is reaching company goals.
• Directly assists Plant Manager in conducting employee reviews.
• Assess, oversee, and implement employee training programs.
• Communicates and explains new directives, policies, or procedures to managers; for major changes, meets with entire operations staff to explain changes, answer questions, and maintain morale.
• Leads coordination and integration of efforts among operations to produce smoother workflow and more cost-effective business processes.
• Projects a positive image of the organization to employees, customers, vendors, industry, and community.
• Recognizes and implements continuous improvement of systems and methods.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

• Extremely proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in related field is a plus, but not required.
• Extensive and diversified background with at least 10 years of related experience.
