  • Thank you for your interest in working for Timberline Drilling!  We are looking for dedicated individuals to assist us in providing exploration core drilling services for surface and underground mining operations nationwide, including Alaska!  Motivated individuals can join us at entry level and earn $65,000 – 75,000 in your first year!

     

    *Must be willing to work 12 hours / day, up to 20 consecutive days followed by 10 days off (Day and Night shifts, weekends, and holidays)

    *Must be willing to travel (potentially out of state if local work in your area is unavailable) 


    Your application will remain active for 60 days. 

     

    Job Duties

    • Assist core drill operator in setting up and operating drilling equipment to obtain core samples.
    • Move drills, supplies, and equipment.
    • Set up drills, build drill decks and other structures.
    • Move and carry steel drill rods, core tubes, and casing.
    • Transfer core samples from core tubes to core boxes.
    • Label core samples indicating area and depth from which sample was obtained.
    • Mix drill-mud.
    • Maintain, repair and clean equipment.
    • Keep work area safe, clean, and free of obstacles.
    • Maintain water lines and supply pumps.
    • Use hand and power tools.
    • Operate vehicles and equipment including water trucks, tractors, and forklifts.
    • Other duties as may be assigned.

    Requirements and Abilities

    • Able to read, write, and communicate clearly to others.
    • Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
    • Required to lift up to 100 pounds.
    • Required to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
    • Required to climb ladders and climb on equipment.
    • Regularly required to work 12-hour shifts (day and night shifts) for up to 20 days at a time.
    • Required to work in extremely hot or cold environments, and extremely wet conditions.
    • Required to travel for multi-day assignments away from home.
    • Must be 18 years of age or older.
    • Must possess a valid driver's license.
    • Must pass the pre-employment drug screen.
    • Must live in the USA and be authorized to work in the USA.
