Job Description

JOB TITLE: Student Information System Manager

TYPE OF POSITION: Classified, 20 hours per week

REPORTS TO: Director of Technology

LOCATION: Onsite or Remote

POSITION PURPOSE: This position primarily focuses on programming and enhancing the PowerSchool student information system, as well as integrating various educational software applications to ensure seamless data flow and efficient school operations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily:

• Develop, modify, and maintain features and functions within the PowerSchool SIS.
• Maintain PowerSchool SIS so that data flows to needed areas and additional plugins are utilized as needed.
• Maintain PowerSchool SIS so that data flows to needed areas and custom pages are utilized as needed.
• Ensure data accuracy, security, and system performance.
• Collaborate with school administrators and staff to understand and address specific requirements.
• Work with Data Manager and other staff to develop software solutions to integrate PowerSchool with other educational programs, such as Qualtrics, Cardonex and Illuminate DnA.
• Work with Data Manager and other staff to ensure data synchronization and functionality across different platforms.
• Provide technical support to end-users for software-related issues.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of programming code, system configurations, and integration processes.
• Evaluate new software solutions for potential integration.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum of Associates degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience in creation of PowerSchool SIS customization preferred.
• Proven experience in creation of PowerSchool SIS Power Queries preferred.
• Proven experience in programming and software development preferred.
• Ability to use spreadsheets and synthesize data
• Experience in integrating educational software applications.
• Proficient in HTML, Javascript and PHP.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to data security and accuracy.
• Ability to work in an educational setting with diverse end-users.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
