Reviews safety and medical information for the assigned products, including safety components of protocols and studies for assigned drugs. Being a Drug Safety/Medical Information Specialist may require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. To be a Drug Safety/Medical Information Specialist typically requires 0-2 years of related experience. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. Work is closely managed.     Center Point DAAC is currently recruiting for one full-time Compliance Specialist.

    The Compliance Specialist ensures compliance with County, State, and Federal regulations regarding Substance Use Disorder contracts, grants including but not limited to Medical Substance Use Disorders treatment regulations, AOD Certification Standards for SUD services, and some knowledge of Title IX, CARF, and DEA regulations.  Knowledge of all documentation requirements, i.e., progress notes, group notes for medical, and AOD certification standards.

    Responsibilities:
    • Consulting with the legal department and advising leadership and management on compliance matters.
    • Tracking and responding to complaints.
    • Maintaining records of compliance activities.
    • Preparing and filing compliance reports.

    Qualifications:
    • Extensive knowledge of County, State, and Federal regulations for SUD Treatment.
    • Knowledge of Medi-cal, Title 22 and Title 9 regulations, and AOD Certification Standards for SUD treatment and services.
    • Extensive knowledge of progress notes in DAP/SOAP format.
    • Knowledge of ASAM and Level of Care assessments.
    • Training and work experience should demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of individuals in a diverse population.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Demonstrate strong organizational and time management skills.
    • Must have experience with working with SUD Treatment programs.
    • Must have knowledge of the HIPAA and federal record privacy laws.
    • Ability to pass a criminal justice screening process (live-scan).
    • Must possess a valid driver's license and have a clean driving record.

    This starting pay is $65,000 anually
