Drywall Installer plans, installs, and repairs drywalls to cover walls, ceilings, soffits, shafts, and movable partitions in residential and commercial areas. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Being a Drywall Installer may have to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty with 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Additionally, Drywall Installer relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Being a part of a 2-3 man crew to stock residential and commercial buildings with drywall, metal framing, insulation, and ceiling tile/grid. Pull material off of a boom truck through windows or door openings and stocking the material neatly throughout the job site. Some jobs require materials to be hand-carried. Other duties include pulling skids of accessories and staging materials for deliveries, warehouse maintenance/cleaning.
Workdays start at 6 am. Previous experience is preferred but not required. Must pass a drug test. Must have own transportation. Pay is determined by experience and DOT ability.
