Job Description
Provide crisis intervention, clinical assessment, short-term counseling, referral and case management services for individuals, couples and/or families. Serve as a member of a multi-disciplinary team developing and facilitating educational seminars, providing management consultation, and coordinating with company accounts to ensure service delivery. The age of the population cared for is children to adults.
Demonstrate respect, dignity, kindness and empathy in each encounter with all patients, families, visitors and other employees regardless of cultural background.
Job Duties
Clinical:
a) Conduct psychosocial assessments to determine appropriate level and variety of services ensuring a high level of client satisfaction.
b) Provide individual, couples and family counseling in a brief therapy model.
c) Provide twenty-four hour crisis intervention services on an on call rotation.
d) Provide proper documentation, charting and correspondence.
e) Provide case management and follow-up services to clinical cases.
f) Provide gatekeeper authorizations and reauthorizations.
g) Age specific expectations - The associate must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide services based on the applicable principles of growth and development over the life span.
h) Safety statement - must follow and demonstrate knowledge of applicable safety and health rules as stated in SEMC’s policies and procedures, and perform work-related duties in compliance with local, state and federal regulations.
Contract Maintenance:
a) Develop and conduct educational training and seminars on a variety of topics.
b) Provide contract maintenance to assigned accounts: reports, promotional materials, correspondence.
c) Complete affiliate applications/requirements.
d) Provide timely, efficient response to employer request for services/interventions.
e) Provide Critical Incident Stress Debriefing.
f) Provide Management Consultations.
g) Conduct departmental interventions.
Customer Service:
a) Coordinate referrals to community agencies and providers including insurance verification, linkage with services and follow-up.
b) Manage clinical caseload to ensure clinical satisfaction.
c) Complete necessary affiliate paperwork/closing.
d) Provide timely correspondence/follow-up on Supervisory Referrals.
Employee/Peer Relations
a) Participate in individual and team supervision.
b) Recognize peers/business associates through designed recognition programs (Caregram).
Quality Assurance
a) Participate in peer audits.
b) Participate/adhere to JCAHO standards.
c) Participate in continuing education for professional/personal growth.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education, Credentials, Licenses:
- Masters’ Degree in Social Work, Psychology or related counseling field -Licensed/certified within the state where work is being performed

-Knowledge of DSM-IV
Kind and Length of Experience:
-3-5 years post graduate clinical experience
