The Chief Engineer’s main focus is to provide engineering leadership and technical expertise for the property General Managers and their engineering staff, and to develop standards and processes related to the upkeep and maintenance of the property. With direction from the General Manager, the Chief Engineer will provide technical leadership, guidance and expertise to all the engineers and property-level maintenance staff, ensuring that the physical facility is optimized, and that quality and service levels are maintained with best practices. Further, the Chief Engineer will ensure that the property is in compliance with state statutes, local codes and ordinances, federal laws related to fire/life safety, and facilities maintenance.

The Chief Engineer will devise and direct projects in support of preventive maintenance, equipment maintenance programs, provide technical guidance as to the maintenance of the properties HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems and all other systems.

They will also serve as a cornerstone for communications with operations representatives in the field, key vendors, and OHM Corporate office. Corporate leadership will establish priorities and will lead and support key operational projects such as capital budget development and execution of physical facility improvements.
