Editor, Sr. jobs in Hutchinson, KS

Essential Functions:

· Ability to report and write weekly technical news, feature and human-interest agricultural stories on a consistent, professional and accurate basis.

· Knowledgeable about several aspects of the agricultural industry including but not limited to crops, livestock and food systems.

· Photography skills for digital capture of farm families, livestock and livelihood

· Must be a personable, positive, friendly and skilled communicator

· Working knowledge and familiarity with AP-style writing.

· Adobe InDesign experience

· Willingness to learn.

· Consistent and sound social media management across all platforms with a goal of engagement and retention of ag audiences

· Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop skills are a plus

· Non-linear video editing skills and podcast knowledge are a plus

· Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments and handle multiple tasks simultaneously

Requirements:
Bachelors in agricultural communications, ag journalism or related field preferred.
Some weekends/evenings will be required.
