Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure.     Job Description

    The Senior Director of Marketing will join our highly creative Marketing team and will develop Spear’s marketing and growth strategy. In this role you’ll be challenged to find the most effective and cost-effective ways to reach our customers and prospects and play a pivotal role in the overall growth of Spear. This role will be responsible for executing strategy with the oversight of the Chief Marketing Officer.   

    • Develop a deep understanding of the customer and market with strong ability to create insights and translate them into actionable growth strategies and clear, effective messaging.  
    • Set the creative vision for marketing content and creative in collaboration with the CMO to position Spear as a premier source of thought leadership for dentists and their teams.  
    • Manage the product marketing team and ensure they are delivering marketing and customer insights, messaging materials, and collaborating with the Product and Content teams to shape Spear's offering and messaging strategy.  
    • Manage the marketing managers and work with them to develop effective annual and quarterly campaign plans aligned to Spear's overall growth goals, and manage budget day-to-day.  
    • Meet with direct reports regularly for coaching, career development and ensure marketing programs are executed with precision and creativity.  
    • Define the vision for each campaign in collaboration with the creative team and marketing managers. 
    • Oversee the day-to-day execution of marketing programs including content review, design review, etc.  
    • Weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance reporting to the CMO and to other stakeholders in the business to demonstrate how marketing is contributing to growth and what is being learned through these efforts that will inform ongoing strategy. 

    Qualifications

    • A minimum of 8 years in a marketing leadership role.  
    • Demonstrated success in developing and executing marketing strategy and growing revenue, preferably with experience with B2B SaaS or membership. 
    • Excellent cross-channel experience and experience managing complex, multi-channel campaigns.
