Duties/Responsibilities
- Upgrade and deploy the CDA EH&S Management System to create a strong Environmental Health & Safety culture in compliance with legal, regulatory, applicable EH&S standards, and AISG requirements. Includes establishment and maintenance of EH&S policies, procedures, and programs to ensure ongoing effectiveness and compliance.
- Lead Safety Committee meetings, working collaboratively with sponsors and team members.
- Capture, report and react to meaningful leading indicators of safety and health risk/performance. Identify and deploy corrective measures under direct supervision, to continually improve performance.
- Conduct incident investigations, root cause analysis, site remediation, and closure of corrective actions as needed. Maintain appropriate records of incidents and actions.
- Along with Compliance and ESG, Identify and implement appropriate environmental/sustainability programs to protect the environment and conserve resources.
- Manage OSHA 300 log files annually, in addition to all other required/assigned reporting for internal and external purposes.
- Facilitate the delivery of EH&S training for employees at the weekly stand-ups, as required to meet compliance, and in knowbe4 training annually.
- Manage the team of first responders and ensure their readiness and valid credentials.
Required Skills/Abilities
- Possess strong leadership skills and ability to communicate with clarity and passion.
- Highly motivated, energetic, self-directed individual with good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Must demonstrate the ability to learn regulatory requirements in manufacturing environments.
- Possess ability to learn and manage EH&S standards such as ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, and other recognized EH&S standards.
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in related field, and a minimum of 2 years of related experience in a professional role or equivalent experience.
