Job Summary:
The EHS Manager 1 will be responsible for the administration and implementation of Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) projects that ensure timely completion and compliance with statutory requirements and promote safe and healthy working conditions. Performs assignments of moderate complexity, maintains schedules, directs professional team members and follows the direction of the designated client representative. EHS Manager will support, manage, and implement environmental health and safety policies and procedures.
Duties & Essential Job Functions:
1. Manages day-to-day project safety initiatives including supervising and scheduling of EHS personnel.
2. Assist with development and implements of site specific plans and procedures covering a variety of safety issues.
3. Coordinate collection and analysis of safety metrics throughout the year.
4. Assist with Incident Investigations.
5. Collect data, establish facts, perform root cause analysis and draws valid conclusions. Report to Project Manager and to Corporate Health and Safety recommending corrective and preventative actions.
6. Prepare required documentation and incident reporting and create safety alerts.
7. Develop hazard mitigation practices while overseeing Site Safety auditing practices. 8. Observe and ensure implementation of Safe Work Practices on site including compliance with site safety requirements.
9. Evaluate hazards in work tasks, work environments, and JSA’s with team.
10. Conduct or coordinate the scheduling of any safety training required. 11. Take personal ownership and responsibility for protecting people from harm while driving performance and supporting continuous improvement.

1. Must have good written, verbal communication and organizational skills.
2. Ability to read and interpret policies, programs and regulations.
3. Able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prompt completion of tasks and assignments
4. Must be a self-starter and able to work independently. Relies on minimal instructions and pre-established guidelines and timetables to perform the functions of the job.
5. Competent with Microsoft Office products, Internet, and other database programs.
Qualifications: Required:
1. Bachelor’s degree in EHS or closely related field from an accredited university or a minimum of 10 years’ experience in Construction Safety and 3 years’ experience in Safety Management
2. Familiarity with OSHA regulations, ACGIH, ANSI, and other applicable EHS guidelines and industry standards including best practices
Preferred:
1. Valid state driver’s license
2. ASP or equivalent certification
3. First-Aid/CPR, OSHA 10, 30, TWIC, ARSC Basic Safety

Pay: $50.00 - $55.00 per hour
