We are seeking a skilled Cable Assembler to join our team in Madison, Wisconsin. As a Cable Assembler, you will be responsible for the assembly of various types of cables and wires using hand tools, crimping machines, and other specialized equipment. This is a full-time position that offers competitive pay and benefits.

Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret work orders, diagrams, and schematics to assemble cables according to specifications.
• Cut, strip, crimp, and solder wires and cables using hand tools and equipment.
• Measure and cut cables to specific lengths, and label cables accordingly.
• Identify and select appropriate connectors, terminals, and other components required for cable assembly.
• Conduct quality control checks to ensure cables meet specified requirements.
• Troubleshoot and repair cables as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• At least 1 year of experience in cable assembly or a related field.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work accurately and efficiently.
• Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Familiarity with hand tools and equipment used in cable assembly.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with others.
