The AC/Heater Technician is the functional expert responsible for the AC/Heater components that involves the installation, testing, troubleshooting and diagnostics of the system.

- Electric Shuttle buses (not residential installation).

Responsibilities for AC/Heater Technician

• Installs, trouble shoots, evaluates, and repairs the AC/Heating system.
• Communicates repair issues and changes management.
• Confirms systems and components capabilities by designing testing methods.
• Check finished product to ensure quality and that industry standards are met before they are declared complete.
• Research and tests equipment and components to ensure proper operation of units.
• Develop manufacturing processes by designing and modifying equipment if needed.
• Reads and understands prints and electric schematics.
• Be able to work independently with little supervision.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
• 5 years' manufacturing and HVAC experience
• Certification for HVAC and/or refrigeration or comparable OJT experience
• Knowledge and experience with low and high voltage electrical
• Must be able to lift and maneuver equipment up to 100 lbs.
• Previous experience working in a specialty vehicle manufacturer or EV experience.
• Analytical thinking with problem solving aptitude, methodical and rational.
• Must be able to crawl, climb, kneed, squat, bent and reach overhead.
• Must be able to climb and work on safety ladders.
• Must be able to use hand and power tools.
• Must be able to braze and solder equipment as needed.

Preferred Skills for AC/Heater Technician

• Previous experience in a start-up environment a plus.
• Trouble shooting/testing and problem-solving skills are a must.
• Hi-Potential Testing
