    Position Summary
    This recruitment will be used to fill two part-time (a maximum of 24 hours per week) Student Motor Pool Services Support Staff positions for the Motor Pool at Oregon State University (OSU).

    Position Duties
    • Vehicle detailing including, but not limited to, checking in, cleaning, fueling, parking, etc.
    • Customer service including, but not limited to, fueling vehicles, customer transport, errands, etc.
    • Building/grounds maintenance (landscaping, shop cleaning, etc.).
    • Special projects as assigned.
    • Additionally, this position will provide basic administrative support for the reservation and dispatch process, registration of drivers, and administration of vehicle training.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Must be academically enrolled in a high school, community college, or university and pursuing a program or course of study
    • Must meet Academic Standing Requirements; students on academic suspension are not eligible for employment
    • Must meet the applicable minimal enrollment standard
      • High School student: Regularly enrolled in a high school or participating in a home-schooling program
      • Undergraduate and post-baccalaureate student: 6 credit hours per term
      • Undergraduate international student: 12 credit hours per term*
      • Graduate student officially admitted to Graduate School: 5 credit hours per term
      • Graduate international student officially admitted to Graduate School: 9 credit hours per term*


    • International students may be allowed to carry fewer hours than specified above and still be considered “full-time” by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). A reduced course load is approved by the Office of International Services (OIS), and must be provided to the Student Employment Center.

    Additional Required Qualifications
    • The candidate must be reliable, self-motivated, and have a positive attitude.
    • Additionally, this applicant should meet the following requirements:
      • Must be able to work evening until 8:00PM or mornings starting at 6:30 AM, be 18 years of age or older and possess a valid Driver’s License, be a current student at OSU, UO, LBCC, or Lane CC and taking at least 6 credit hours, be comfortable working in an outdoor environment and be able to lift up to 40lbs unassisted”.
      • Must have a positive attitude, be innovative and possess a valid Driver’s License. Good written and verbal communication skills are required.
      • Other preferred experience: Public speaking, design software, web design tools, blogging, and social media
