Electrical Control Panel Assembler – Level 1
SUMMARY
The level 1- panel shop technician position will be responsible for assembling electrical control panels. Other duties may include routing cables and wiring on in-house machines, as well as assisting with various tasks in the fabrication shop. The candidate for this position must have good attention to detail.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Assemble Industrial Control panels in accordance to provided directions.
· Measure, cut, and drill enclosures and back panels to mount components.
· Follow directions to correctly wire various components.
· Field wiring of machines to include, but not limited to, routing cables from control panel to various sensors, solenoid valves, lights, etc.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
· Basic understanding of electricity would be helpful.
· Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions.
· Ability to read a tape measure.
· Ability to use hand tools, such as screwdrivers, wire strippers, wrenches, etc.
· Ability to use power tools such as jig saws, drills, cut off saws, etc.
· Strong problem-solving skills.
· Strong communication skills.
· Must have good attention to detail.
· Able to work independently or in team environments with minimal supervision.
· Able to multi-task.
EDUCATION
· High School Diploma
EXPERIENCE
· 0 to 3 years’ experience building industrial control panels preferred but not required. Other electrical and mechanical experience will be considered.
