Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Additionally, Electrical Controls Engineer relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision. NexGen offers a wide range of self-perform services, which include supervision, administration, craft labor, materials, tools, documentation, consumables, and safety devices to successfully carry projects from start to finish.

    Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting or engineering from an accredited college or university and 3 years of experience, or 7 years  of construction related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Basic computer skills and knowledge including the ability to utilize word processing, spreadsheets, software and e-mail.
    • Excellent organizational and communication skills.

     

    Key Responsibilities

    • Assist the project management team in developing the project cost work breakdown structure and job cost set up
    • Develop project invoice schedule of values
    • Manage the project cost earned vs actual value cost tracker
    • Manage vendor invoices
    • Prepare project change request and customer change orders
    • Trend project cost and report deviations from plan
    • Prepare projects for close-out including review of commitment against actual cost
    • Prepare monthly project financial reports
    • Manager level 3 schedule (MS Project, Primavera experience preferred)

Specific vision abilities required include close vision.

     

    Generally, normal office environment where noise level is moderate and temperature/humidity is controlled. Overtime may be required.

    This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
