Principal duties and responsibilities:
- Hands-on development and design of electrical systems, including high-voltage battery management systems, power electronics, motor control systems, and charging infrastructure.
- Develop electrical architecture and harnessing solutions that integrate powertrain components
- Troubleshoot complex electrical systems and perform root-cause analysis
- Support the development of suppliers to provide system components
Experience / Qualifications:
- B.S. or M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
- 3 years experience in automotive electronics manufacturing
- 3 years experience in high voltage circuit production and testing (5-250kW)
- Proficiency with electrical schematic software
- Proficiency with electronic measurement equipment such: LCR meters, hipot, power supplies, battery simulators, load banks, oscilloscopes, digital voltmeters, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, and data logging equip
- Excellent verbal and written communications and analytical skills appropriate for interaction with team members (internal and external customers, suppliers, hardware engineers, test staff, and management)
- Experience with hardware design reviews as a technical contributor
- Experience in automotive, industrial vehicles, and electric vehicles is a plus
