    The successful candidate for the Electrical Revit Technician/Designer position will work under the supervision of a lead Electrical Engineer and will perform electrical Revit design for a variety of projects. The successful candidate will also be able to efficiently schedule and manage time, display strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as demonstrate the ability to work as an effective team member, and have excellent technical writing and communication skills; 

     

     

    Your Role: 

    ·         Partner with Project Managers and Engineers to set up and manage electrical construction drawings 

    ·         Incorporate design changes using Revit 

    ·         Prepare dimensional drawings and create or modify base drawings in bid and submittal phase. 

    ·         Revise and update existing drawings to reflect design changes 

    ·         Create and manage electronic document file structure, naming conventions in accordance with company standards 

    ·         Work a typical set of project documents from beginning to end with professional quality output 

    ·         Coordinate work on multiple projects simultaneously to successful completion 

    ·         Follow appropriate CAD standards 

    ·         Prepare, review, or modify one-line diagrams, elevation diagrams, electrical floor plans, schedules, and detail sheets 

    ·         Meet project schedules within budgetary constraints 

     

     

    Qualifications: 

    ·         Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in CAD drafting or a related field, required 

    ·         2 years of related work experience; or any equivalent combination of experience and training  

    ·         Valid Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record 

    ·         Experience using Autodesk Revit with knowledge of linking files, setting up plan views, using view templates, and work sets is preferred 

    ·         Ability to generate layout drawings from sketches and specifications of several types of facilities (e.g., offices, laboratories, facilities, pump stations, and wastewater treatment plants) 

    ·         Experience with design of lighting and lighting control systems, fire alarms, security, and other low-voltage systems is a plus 

    ·         Familiarity with design parameters related to electrical work for buildings at a minimum, water and wastewater treatment plants is a plus. 

    ·         A solid understanding of NEC and other regulations associated with electrical safety and construction is a plus;  

    ·         Position requires periodic travel, approximately 10-15%
