Duties:
- Oversee and manage warehouse operations, including dispatching, order fulfillment, and materials management.
- Ensure efficient and accurate inventory management and control.
- Supervise a team of warehouse staff, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth workflow and timely delivery of goods.
- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory levels, monitor order status, and generate reports.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment, adhering to all safety regulations and protocols.
- Monitor and maintain equipment, such as forklifts, ensuring proper functioning and scheduling maintenance as needed.
- Collaborate with vendors to procure necessary supplies and materials for the warehouse.
- Manage fleet operations, including vehicle maintenance, scheduling, and routing.
Skills:
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage a team.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Proficient in using warehouse management systems (WMS) and other relevant software.
- Knowledge of inventory control principles and practices.
- Familiarity with AS400 or similar inventory management software is a plus.
- Ability to operate forklifts or willingness to be trained on forklift operation.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with team members, vendors, and other departments.
