ENGINEERING MANAGER
MIL-DTL CONNECTOR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
10 years’ experience in Electro-Mechanical product design of electrical connectors and manufacturing processes
Provide leadership to the Engineering team through the entire product design process to high volume production.
Working knowledge of 3d Cad software and Inventor experience is required.
Responsibilities:
Ideal candidate will work independently to design/redesign and develop new or existing products. Will work from requirements or instructions to design and develop new components or redesign existing components to improve products. Determines and establishes specifications through engineering calculations and layouts. Oversee assembly and tests of engineering prototypes. Communicates information internally and assists with suppliers and customers.
Responsible for talent management for his/her team including performance, coaching, and hiring.
Ability to prioritize multiple projects to meet objectives and deadlines.
Working knowledge of manufacturing processes: Tooling, Molding, Machining, Stamping, and Plating process
Comfortable working with sales to develop new opportunities. Must have excellent communication skills and the ability to work with other departments in a professional and productive manner.
Required to update and maintain engineering files, BOM’s and routers to ensure consistent quality and production of company products. Communicates information accordingly in an AS9100 environment.
Expected to work with cross functional team members.
