With minimal supervision but regular status updates provided to the Electrical Instrument Superintendent, support production by maintaining and improving electrical power distribution equipment and associated electro-mechanical systems.
Essential Functions- Identify and prepare for equipment ‘end of life’ by researching, identifying, and acquiring, before failure, replacements that equal or surpass reliability and efficiency standards.
- Monitor and report contractors' work on electrical projects from start to completion across the facility. Ensure that all work complies with electrical codes.
- Develop, upgrade, and monitor the application of standard operating procedures for new electrical codes, processes, and or equipment.
- Assess and recommend new maintenance and reliability, testing, and purchasing procedures for new processes or equipment.
Education/Training Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or graduate of an ABET-certified program plus more than five (5) years of experience in an industrial setting with electrical maintenance and project management responsibilities required.
