As a Transmission and Distribution Project Manager, you will be accountable for all aspects of a project’s success from the initial proposal/bidding process, to meet or exceed the clients’ expectations, to the profitable completion of the jobs, with a special emphasis on safety performance. You will work with our Director of Operations to manage and oversee project safety, quality, schedule, cost control, contracts, subcontractors, suppliers, proposals, estimates, documentation turnover, client relations/management, field staff and other duties required to execute a wide range of project types and scopes.

What You'll Do

• Review project requirements, permits, and drawings
• Maintain customer and contractor relationships
• Participate in project meetings to track progress and scope changes
• Keep up-to-date with Bluestake's and relevant logs
• Understand project proposals, scope, schedules, and resource allocation
• Manage project costs and develop recovery plans
• Handle contract administration including RFIs, submittals, and claims mitigation
• Oversee materials receiving and management process
• Establish efficient project management SOPs and best practices
• Communicate project status, risks, and costs to stakeholders
• Supervise direct reports and project labor force
• Perform other duties as requested by leadership

What You'll Have

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Science or related field
• Minimum 5 years of project management experience in Electric T&D construction/utilities
• Proficient in Oracle Primavera 6 for project scheduling
• Familiarity with HCSS Heavy Bid Software
• Skilled in using and managing project cost and progress accounting systems
• Strong communication skills across all levels, including with customers and government agencies
• Excellent organizational skills for managing multiple projects accurately and consistently
• Ability to think clearly and prioritize tasks under stress
• Proactive multitasking to meet deadlines
• Advanced mathematical abilities for data interpretation using percentages, ratios, averages, and medians
• Advanced computer skills, including expert proficiency in Excel
• PMP certification preferred
• Expertise in Power BI or equivalent database software preferred

Work Environment

• Work is performed in a 50% office and 50% field work at construction sites
• Flexibility to work various schedules and stay late when necessary with little or no notice
• Must be able to read documents, use a computer, communicate verbally and in writing
• Mobility required within an office, warehouse and construction site environments
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 20 pounds
  

Legal Stuff

• Pass pre-employment, random, post-accident, and reasonable suspicion drug screens
• Provide valid US work authorization documents for E-Verify
• Satisfactory results of pre-employment background check results
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
• Pre-employment medical fit-for-duty test; hold/obtain DOT medical card
