The successful candidate will be required to support a wide variety of engineering projects, both as an individual contributor, project leader, and team leader. This is an excellent opportunity for growth, variety, and diversity in your job duties including hands on solutions, design, troubleshooting, and leadership. To be considered for this position you must have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related field, from an ABET accredited educational institution. A Senior level Engineer IV position will require at least 6 years' experience as an engineer with emphasis on utility electrical equipment, switchgear, and controls. We will consider an under fill with a less experienced engineer who is willing to learn and progress to the Senior level. The IDEAL Senior Level candidate will have experience in the following areas: • Electrical and controls of large power plant rotating equipment – pumps, fans, blowers, turbines, generators, and compressors • Power plant auxiliary equipment • Electrical wiring systems and codes • Strong knowledge of protective relaying systems for large generators, plant auxiliary systems, and NERC regulations • Strong knowledge of 480 volt and 4160-volt electric motors, motor control centers, breakers, switchgear, and cable systems • Strong knowledge of electric drives, motor operators and positioners for valves and dampers • General knowledge and experience with field control elements and control logic • General knowledge and experience with transformers • General knowledge and experience with Smart Transmitters • General knowledge and experience with Generator Voltage Regulators • Knowledge of predictive technologies such as vibration analysis, I-R thermography, ultrasound, lube oil analysis, and motor circuit analysis • Good organizational and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to solicit input and support of others at various levels in an organization. • Experience managing the following: a. Contractors and various journeyman craft technicians b. All phases of capital improvement projects from design through construction to acceptance testing. c. Note: Positions requiring the Professional Engineer (PE) certification require graduation from an ABET accredited institution and do not permit graduation from a similarly accredited institution. Expected to keep abreast of the latest Engineering advancements in field. Continuing education required to maintain currency in assigned engineering discipline, regulatory and other related knowledge. May require supervisory experience. CERTIFICATIONS OR LICENSES Licenses Valid Florida Class E Driver’s License required.
