Basic Functions

The Electrical Estimator provides electrical and instrumentation estimating services for Industrial, oilfield, line, and commercial electrical work. The Electrical Estimator provides support for planning, organizing, and evaluating construction projects per schedule, specifications and budget. Must be able to take initiative, set priorities, and efficiently produce detailed end results.

Responsibilities 

• Prepare bid proposals for oilfield, industrial, line, and construction projects
• Interpret customer RFQs for projects and E&C applications
• Control all request for proposals from companies
• Attend bid walks and job showings
• Figure dollar estimate and develop schedule
• Finalize and submit complete package proposal to company
• Handoff project budgets and schedule upon award
• Use current pricing agreements to develop unit price and T&M estimates
• Receive field data to compile estimates and set AFE’s for projects currently under contract
• Select components and materials for quotation and pursue supplier pricing and delivery times
• Submit estimates to companies
• Handoff project budgets and schedule upon award
• Track estimates and WIP’s to develop historic data to be archived for future use
• Were we high? Why?
• Were we low? Why?
• Conduct cost analysis through-out all phases of a project, up to and including completion
• Maintain and control distribution of all project documents and records

Qualifications

• Preferred experience using CONEST
• 3 years or more of Estimator experience
• Experience in Oil Field Services
• Electrical Service in the Permian Basin
• Ability to effectively and regularly converse and comprehend in English
