Electroencephalograph Technologist jobs in Lenexa, KS

Schedule: 6:30pm to 3:00 am Monday-Friday

Must be flexible with scheduling for business needs.

Department: Hematology

Job Summary:

Performs a variety of laboratory tests and assays in accordance with established policies, procedures and regulations in a designated technical department. Interprets results, subject to verification by Technologist/Supervisor, and providing allowance by State regulations.

Job Requirements:

•  Duties may include manual and automated testing of human samples for immunoassay, chemistry, infectious disease, immunology and may vary depending on business needs.

• Perform daily and monthly maintenance.

• Record all quality control and order lab inventory.

• Responsible to report all lab concerns to the Lab Director.

• Administrative tasks - answering phones and maintaining logs/records, and utilizing computer databases

• Organizational skills especially time management

• Proficiency with numbers

• Communication skills-written and verbal

• Previous work experience in RPR testing, immunoassay or similar platform testing.

License/Certification/Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or Medical Laboratory Technology equivalent

• Preferred with 1-3 years lab related experience.

 Physical Demands:

• Speech clarity

• Utilization of fingers and hands

• Extended periods of standing or sitting

• Moderate physical effort (up to 30 pounds); must comply with applicable safety procedures.
