The Software License Manager (SLM) position is responsible for managing and optimizing the purchase, deployment, maintenance, utilization, and disposal of software applications within the Air Force Research Laboratory Phillips Research Site (AFRL PRS) at Kirtland AFB in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The candidate will work within a mixed team of Department of Defense (DoD) civilians and DoD contractors. This position requires the individual to possess an IT background, so he or she can assist AFRL PRS customers in troubleshooting and resolving various problems with software installations. Support provided is governed by Service Level Agreements (SLAs) in place with the AFRL customer which are defined within the IT services contract. The ability to interface well with customers at various levels of seniority is essential to success in this position, as are excellent written and verbal communication skills.
