Founded in 2009, Creative Snacks Co. (CSC) is a maker of healthy natural and organic snacks. The Creative Snacks brand is sold in the United States, Canada, and Caribbean along with some private label and bulk products. The product portfolio includes branded and private label self-manufactured decadent snack clusters, snack trail mixes, dried fruits and nuts, and coated pretzels. Opened in January 2017, the High Point/Greensboro North Carolina plant is a 92,000 square foot climate controlled facility. Operations include a bakery, mixing, rigid container and pouch primary packaging, secondary package customization, warehousing, and customer order fulfillment. In October 2019, KIND LLC acquired the Creative Snacks business. In November 2020, Mars, Incorporated acquired full ownership in KIND LLC.
Shift: First Shift
What You’ll Do….
As the Electronics Technician your primary goal is to ensure the safety and reliability of plant production equipment. This is an essential role imperative for plant function and efficiency. This is how you’ll do it…
- Work independently and focus on safety while performing maintenance and repairs to production equipment and facility infrastructure

Minimize or eliminate machine downtime or equipment failure
-
Perform scheduled and on demand maintenance and repairs on operating equipment
-
Maintain and order parts to ensure adequate stock is available and assessable when needed
-
Diagnose and repair mechanical problems and electrical issues
-
Ensure efficiency of production equipment
-
Assist in the installation of equipment to meet specifications
-
Align, fit, and assemble component parts, using hand tools, power tools, etc.

Troubleshoot, repair, and replace mechanical and/or electrical equipment or systems

Instruct and train operators on basic equipment care and repair
-
Duties will vary greatly from day to day with variations in the environment

Practices and complies with all plant and maintenance department safety procedures

Experience and Skills:
What You’ll Bring….
-
Preferably a 4-year degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent combination of education and work experience
-
A minimum of 4 years of electrical troubleshooting experience with the ability to read electrical schematics; must have thorough understanding of basic 3-phase industrial electrical
-
Critical thinking - use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems
-
Experience with low voltage control circuits 24vdc and 3-phase supply circuits up to and inclusive to 480vac 3-phase
-
Ability to install and program VFD’s (in both existing and new applications)
-
Proficient at programming at least one brand of PLC and willing and capable to learn other software platforms as needed
-
Capable of installing and troubleshooting a wide variety of sensing devices such as photoelectric laser measurement, P to E converters, light curtains, pressure transducers, proximity, temperature probes and transducers

Working knowledge of varied communication formats such as ethernet, Can Bus, RS232, etc.

Ability to design basic and moderately complexed control circuits
-
Design and fabricate electrical enclosures to house control circuits, including the materials list, required tooling, and direct assembly of electrical components
-
Must have working knowledge of isolation and step-down transformers. As well as the ability to properly size and trouble DC power supplies

Solid knowledge of industrial mechanics principles including pneumatics, electric motors, controls, and wiring
-
Excellent organizational skills in managing workload, caring for tools, and maintaining records
-
Outstanding people skills and the ability to communicate at all levels of the organization
-
Basic PC skills including MS Office (Outlook, Excel, and Word)

Knowledge of OSHA requirements, GMP’s, and safe work practices
-
Mathematics knowledge relating to maintenance activities; ability to verify dimensions, and diagrams for assembly, disassembly and troubleshooting purposes.

A willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime based on company needs

Constantly stand and walk about work area for duration of shift.

Ability to lift 35 - 50 lbs. throughout the day

Ability to bend, stretch, push, pull, and move as needed to reach and service machinery

Wearing of proper PPE including hearing protection, safety glasses and safety shoes for duration of shift
