Additionally, Elevator Inspector is familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Job Overview:
We are seeking a motivated individual to join our team as an Elevator Apprentice or experienced elevator mechanic. In this role, you will have the opportunity to learn and develop the skills necessary to become a skilled elevator technician. This is a paid position that offers hands-on training and career advancement opportunities. Please note that we are a non-union based elevator contractor.
Responsibilities:
- Assist experienced elevator technicians in the installation, maintenance, and repair of commercial and residential elevators and other conveying systems.
- Learn to read and interpret schematics and blueprints to understand elevator systems
- Gain knowledge of hydraulic systems, electrical components, and mechanical operations of elevators
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance tasks on elevators
- Assist with troubleshooting and diagnosing issues with elevator systems
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used
- Provide excellent customer service while working on-site at various locations
Skills:
- Basic understanding of industrial maintenance principles
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and blueprints
- Knowledge of hydraulics, electrical systems, and mechanical operations
- Strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot issues with elevator systems
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Customer service skills to interact professionally with clients
- Mechanical knowledge or experience is preferred
- Field service experience is a plus
