Elevator Inspector jobs in Killeen, TX
Elevator Inspector inspects, adjusts, and maintains installed freight and passenger elevators and escalators to meet specifications and safety codes. May recommend repairs. Being an Elevator Inspector requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. May be required to be certified in an area of specialty with 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Additionally, Elevator Inspector is familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Oil States is currently looking for a qualified candidate for the position of Quality Inspector I in Lampasas, TX.
POSITION SUMMARY :
Ensures products produced meet customer or in-house quality and specifications requirements. Identifies, records, evaluates and recommends solutions to quality problems.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Inspects in-process parts visually and dimensionally using required instruments.
- Completes reports and related paperwork.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS :
- Mathematical skills (addition / subtraction, multiplication / division, algebra).
- Conversions of decimals to fractions and vice versa.
- Utilize blueprints, charts and graphs, customer drawings and specifications.
- Verbal and written communication skills.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :
- Moderate bending
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Extended walking, standing and / or sitting.
- Able to climb stairs.
- Must be able to work in temperatures over 100 F
