Being an Elevator Inspector requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. May be required to be certified in an area of specialty with 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Additionally, Elevator Inspector is familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Overview:
We are seeking a full time Grain Elevator Operator to join our team. You will assist with all grain handling operations and maintenance at the facility. Employee safety is paramount and you will be trained in the safe operation of all equipment.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Operating and maintaining all grain receiving and shipping equipment
- Load and unload grain trucks
- Monitor and adjust equipment settings to ensure proper grain drying and storage
- Assist with preventative maintenance and repair on machinery, equipment, and company vehicles
- Perform general clean-up which includes sweeping, shoveling, power washing, painting
- Provide excellent customer service to our farmer customers
Skills:
-Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and perform basic repairs on equipment preferred.
- Ability to drive and operate elevator equipment including skid steer and front-end loader
-Communicate effectively with customers and fellow employees.
- Be a self starter and also willing to work with a team to get tasks accomplished.
The ability to work in hot and cold outside temperature, climb and work at heights exceeding 50', climb ladders, lift and carry 50 pounds and perform other physical duties are required. Longer hours including evenings and weekends are mandatory during the fall harvest season which usually runs from 9/15-11/15 each year.
