Warehouse Worker Position
Mountain States Oilseeds LLC is looking for a full-time Warehouse Worker to participate in our warehouse operations and activities. Warehouse Worker responsibilities include customer unloading, storing materials, sampling, packing and loading shipments and orders.
Experience with small mechanical repairs is preferred. Applicant must be willing to work in a fast paced and changing environment daily. Job does require an applicant comfortable with heights.
Applicant must valid driver's license with insurable driving record. Experience in agricultural operations is preferred. Work week consists of variable schedules – 5 days a week, 8-hour days and 4 days a week, 10-hour days, rotating shifts monthly. Work will be completed both inside and outside of warehouses.
1. Responsibilities
a. Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule (load, pack, wrap, label, ship)
b. Receive and process warehouse bulk ag deliveries (ability to climb a ladder and sample truckloads is required)
c. Perform inventory controls and keep quality standards high for audits
d. Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilization
e. Complete incoming and outgoing paperwork and food safety logs
f. Report any discrepancies
g. Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and co-workers
h. Operate and complete preventative maintenance on warehouse vehicles and equipment. Report needed repairs to supervisor and get required authorization for expenditures over limit.
i. Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules and regulations
j. Take responsibility for work needing done.
2. Requirements
a. Proven working experience as a Warehouse Worker or other agricultural worker
b. Acceptable driving record
c. Familiarity with modern warehousing and agricultural practices and methods
d. Good organizational and time management skills
e. Ability to lift heavy objects up to 55 lbs.
f. Current forklift license is preferred but not necessary
g. High school degree and mathematical skills required
h. Ability to complete legible paperwork
