We are seeking a skilled and reliable Working Grain Elevator Manager to join our team. As a Grain Elevator Manager, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of grain elevator operations, ensuring the timely processing and storage of grain.
Duties:
- Operate heavy equipment such as grain elevators, conveyors, and loaders to transfer grain to and from storage facilities
- Monitor and adjust equipment settings to ensure proper grain handling and storage
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Inspect grain for quality and moisture content
- Load and unload trucks using forklifts or other machinery
- Maintain accurate records of grain inventory and transactions
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment
Qualifications:
- Previous experience operating heavy equipment, preferably in a grain elevator or similar environment
- Mechanical knowledge and ability to troubleshoot equipment issues
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (CDL A commercial driving license is a plus)
- Ability to operate a forklift and other material handling equipment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to perform tasks accurately
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays if required
