Utilizes necessary medical equipment to treat the patient and ascertains the extent of their injuries or illness. Being an Emergency Medical Technician communicates with the medical care facility receiving the patient about the patient's condition, status, and arrival time. May require registry in NREMT. Additionally, Emergency Medical Technician requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Requires Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR). Requires Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) - Basic. Malcolm X College is seeking a full-time Lab Coordinator for Emergency Medical Technicians. This position will be responsible for enhancing student knowledge and skills in any particular Health Science program. Ensures proper inventory of laboratory supplies and maintenance of equipment and assists faculty in fulfilling academic and program needs.
It is the mission of the Malcolm X College EMS Department to educate and inspire our students and prepare students of the community to serve their community as health care professionals in Emergency Medical Services.
