Emergency Medical Technician jobs in Corpus Christi, TX
Emergency Medical Technician responds to emergency calls for medical assistance, assesses the situation, obtains a basic medical history and physical examination of the patient, and provides emergency care at the scene and during transit to the hospital. Utilizes necessary medical equipment to treat the patient and ascertains the extent of their injuries or illness. Being an Emergency Medical Technician communicates with the medical care facility receiving the patient about the patient's condition, status, and arrival time. May require registry in NREMT. Additionally, Emergency Medical Technician requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Requires Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR). Requires Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) - Basic. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Emergency Medical Technician works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. - 13 Week Assignment
- Orientation: July 18 Start: July 26
- 1 Week ON / 1 Week OFF
- Wednesday to Wednesday (7:00 AM to 7:00 AM)
- 24 Hours Shifts
- $3,300 A Week ON Shift PLUS a $400 Travel Stipend Dispersed (via Paycheck) = $3,700 per each 7 day shift
- Biweekly Pay Schedule
- Doing Inner Facility Transfers For A Private EMS Company
- Running 5 to 7 Calls Per 24 Hour Shift
- Lodging Will Be Provided
- NO Additional Stipends, Such As, Food, Gas, Etc. Stipends Will Be Included. Only Biweekly Travel Stipend.
Required Skills:- Texas or EMS Compact State License
- BLS Certification
- At Least 3 to 5 Years Of Experience
- Ambulance And Inner Facility Transfers Experience
- Experience Working 24-Hour Shifts Consecutively
