Being an Emergency Medical Technician communicates with the medical care facility receiving the patient about the patient's condition, status, and arrival time. May require registry in NREMT. Additionally, Emergency Medical Technician requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Requires Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR). Requires Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) - Basic. Northeast Indiana Veterinary Emergency & Specialty Hospital is looking to hire full-time or part-time registered technicians and assistants for our new Urgent Care service line. Urgent Care focuses on non-critical patients in need of immediate care. Our goal is to provide efficient service for urgent cases on an out-patient basis.
This facility will treat non-critical care cases, including skin lacerations, vomiting, bite wounds, ear infections, eye and skin issues, etc. These positions will be during the early evening and weekends with no overnights!
NIVES serves the pet owners and veterinarians in the tri-state region of NE Indiana, SE Michigan, and NW Ohio. The new urgent care facility is located adjacent to our main hospital, separated by a shared parking lot. Our call center will funnel cases to the appropriate service line, however urgent care cases still have the added advantage of direct transfer to the critical care hospital for 24-hour care if needed.
