Duties:
- Perform triage assessments to determine the severity of patients' conditions
- Administer basic life support measures, including CPR and defibrillation
- Assess and monitor vital signs, such as heart rate, blood pressure, and oxygen saturation
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by medical professionals
- Conduct venipuncture for blood draws and administer IV fluids
- Assist with patient transport to medical facilities
- Provide emotional support to patients and their families
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care
Experience:
- Previous experience as an EMT or in a similar role preferred
- Proficient in medical terminology and documentation
- Experience administering injections is a plus
- Knowledge of basic life support techniques
- Ability to provide compassionate patient care in high-stress situations
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks
- Knowledge of human anatomy and physiology
- Familiarity with emergency room procedures is beneficial
