Located on an industrial job site. Employee will be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including but not limited to: hard hat, safety glasses/goggles, ear plugs/muffs, masks/respirators, safety vests, gloves and leather work boots while outside.
Job Description:
Responds to calls and investigates employee concerns that arise at the jobsite.
Works closely with the Dispute Resolution Team, to provide confidential and neutral assistance to employees regarding employee concerns by facilitating amicable solutions.
Provide advice and counsel to managers and supervisors regarding personnel practices, policy and employment laws.
Educates employees on policies, procedures, and practices, providing confidential consultations and coordinates with the Dispute Resolution Team in offering options for conflict resolution such as a Resolution Conference or Internal Review Panel.
Advocates fairness and investigates internal employee complaints such as Unfair Treatment, Harassment and Discrimination. Enters investigation notes and findings on employee issues into the Dispute Resolution database.
Prepares documents, reports, and correspondence and identifies patterns and problem areas and makes recommendations to the Dispute Resolution Field Coordinator Lead on areas for improvement. Periodically reports on case activity.
Advises on and explains relevant state and federal rules, regulations, and procedures to management team. Provides coaching and guidance to Managers and Supervisors regarding employee issues, to include Hiring and Terminations. Provide training and guidance to jobsite on culture, policies, and procedures, particularly those related to employment law (such as EEO, FMLA, ADA, ADEA, etc.).
Assists with the coordination of ADA Reasonable Accommodation, discipline, discharges and assists with problematic situations. Provides employee documentation and other related evidence as requested for Charges and litigation. Under the direction of the Dispute Resolution Team, assists with the investigation of Charges by EEOC, Human Rights Commission, etc. Performs various Projects and other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
High degree of Ethical Practice. Fluent in Spanish
Ability to effectively build relationships and work with all levels of Leadership.
Ability to analyze and work through critical situations.
Prefer some knowledge of applicable state and federal employment and labor laws.
Strong communication and written skills.
Ability to work a flexible schedule per project needs. (days/nights/weekends)
