The Employee Relations Manager will be a key figure in managing and resolving employee relations issues. They will conduct thorough investigations into workplace concerns and ensure that all matters are addressed in compliance with company policies and legal requirements. This role will be instrumental in fostering a positive workplace culture and supporting employee engagement and satisfaction.
Work Setting: Potential for hybrid setting, must be willing to travel to various locations as needed
Schedule: Monday-Friday; Daytime hours
Compensation: $90,000-$120,000 per year salary

Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To
- Conduct Investigations: Lead and conduct comprehensive investigations into employee complaints, concerns, and disputes. Ensure thorough documentation and resolution in accordance with company policies and legal standards.
- Policy Implementation: Recommend, review, and implement employee relations policies and procedures to ensure alignment with industry best practices and legal requirements.
- Conflict Resolution: Act as a neutral party in resolving conflicts between employees, managers, and departments. Facilitate discussions and mediate solutions to address and resolve issues effectively.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state (multi), and local employment laws and regulations. Advise management and employees on legal and procedural matters related to employee relations.
- Reporting: Maintain accurate records of investigations, resolutions, and employee relations metrics. Prepare and present reports to senior management as needed. You will work in tandem with senior HR director on escalated HR investigations, as well as utilize and manage our third-party employee relations system.
- Employee Support: Serve as a resource for employees seeking guidance on workplace issues. Promote a positive work environment and enhance employee satisfaction through effective management practices.
Qualifications/Skills Include But Are Not Limited To
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., SHRM-CP/SCP, PHR/SPHR) is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in employee relations, HR management, or a related field, with a strong background in conducting investigations and resolving workplace issues.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- In-depth knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
- Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Experience with conflict resolution and mediation.
- Industry Knowledge: Previous experience in the automotive industry is preferred but not required.
