Overview:

Chipman is searching for a dispatcher that is knowledgeable in the household goods and commercial moving and storage industry. This individual is an honest, hardworking, and innovative thought leader that can assist our Hayward branch continue to its forward growth path.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Review paperwork submitted from sales for completeness, check file for credit approval and/or purchase order before dispatching a billed job.
• Receive and review completed paperwork from returning crews. Ensure paperwork is completed and accurate, that weight tickets are obtained where necessary, and all required signatures have been obtained. Rate bills of lading as needed. Return completed service orders to office for billing within 24 hours of providing service.
• Work as a team with other divisions, agents, and corporate, to promote best interest of the customer and company.
• Utilize the annual Chipman Capacity Calendar, update daily as needed, and make sure it accurately reflects the workload to labor capacity for your division.
• Preplan jobs, equipment and manpower requirements and make advance arrangements as necessary to ensure availability of resources sufficient to perform all scheduled orders.
• Work with coordination and sales team members to maximize daily capacity by checking on customer flexibility and job time constraints as well as any flexibility in labor.
• Other tasks that may be assigned by your supervisor.

Education and Experience:

Minimum two years of Operations/Warehouse management.

High School diploma – AA preferred

Proficient in Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, etc.)

Strong communicator

Wage range: $30-$32/hr
