    Position Summary

    The Employee Engagement role requires flexibility, confidence, and creativity. 

    We need a self-starter who can manage projects, work autonomously, and provide value to the executive team. As new projects are being developed, you’ll also provide excellent administrative support across the board.

    Essential Job Functions

    • Promote company initiatives by supporting the various programs with or without formal committees. This may include creating new groups, motivating existing groups and assisting in coordination of events.
          Examples may include:      ~Sourcing, organizing, and promoting volunteer opportunities      ~Planning and managing fund-raising events      ~Leading Wellness Committee       ~Coordinate award presentations and celebrations      ~Organizing blood drives
    • Plan and oversee Company events. Act as liaison between Certco and outside event coordinators for all Company events. Annually this would include two food shows for customers and vendors, three zone meetings with customers, Christmas Party, Company Picnic, and any other events that may occur. 

          *Ensures required staff and materials are available and prepared for events or activities. 

          *Evaluate the success of each activity, event, or outing and identifies opportunities for improvement in the future.

    • Manage events calendar
    • Support employee engagement through communications and appreciation activities and events
    • Coordinate Community Involvement Programs
    • This program would include supporting employees by allowing them to work at Organizations for up to eight hours per year paid by Certco
    • Assist in developing parameters of volunteering to demonstrate our involvement in helping the communities we work and live in
    • Determine means to promote Certco, Inc. in the Madison area as a Top Employer to ensure we are attracting and maintaining thriving employees
    • Support executive leadership team and their staff on special projects as assigned
    • Bi-annually work with vendor to create a company store and assist with product delivery to the employee
    • Develop and sustain a level of professionalism among staff and customers
    • Receptionist back-up for phones and absences
    • Performs other duties as assigned
    • Is regular in attendance and complies with the Company Attendance Policy

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

    • Creative thinker with the ability to manage projects
    • Performing office and administrative duties to assist executive management
    • Plan and oversee employee engagement events
    • Create a welcoming environment for all staff
    • Arrange corporate events to take place outside of the workplace
    • Uphold a strict level of confidentiality
    • Proficient Computer skills, including MS Office, video editing software, Poster My Wall
    • Strong writing skills and attention to detail 
    • Practical and proactive problem solver
    • Highly organized with expert interpersonal skills

    Education and Experience

    • High School Diploma or equivalent
    • 1 year experience of event planning
    • 1 year experience in an administrative or coordinator role
