Youth Employment Consultant
The Boley Centers, Inc., a nationally recognized and accredited behavioral health care agency, has an opening for a Youth Employment Consultant. Located in Clearwater, this position Provides assistance to youth with obtaining community-based employment. Accomplishes skills and abilities assessments. Identifies available and appropriate community-based employment opportunities for clients. Acts as an ongoing liaison, both internally and externally with job sources. Maintains appropriate documentation and records as required or requested. Performs other tasks necessary to assist clients.
Education/Licensure:
Bachelor's degree required. Human Services or related major preferred. Education must be from an accredited school, college, or university.
Experience:
Minimum of one year experience in human services, business, job placement, vocational counseling, or rehabilitation. Relevant internship or volunteer experience may be considered in meeting minimum experience requirements.
Knowledge:
Knowledge of behavioral or other techniques and job development and related activities preferred.
Skills & Abilities:
Good skills and demonstrated abilities in assessment, observation, communication - verbal and/or written, organizing work - own and others, interpersonal and public relations, basic math and language, record keeping, self-management, teaching, coaching, training,, and such others that are usually and customarily considered necessary for satisfactory completion of essential duties.
Special Requirements:
Valid Florida driver's license, own transportation vehicle and insurance required.
