Ebony Law firm is looking for an associate Attorney to help with our high volume of transactions and cases. As an Associate Attorney, you work with a member or senior attorney on each case you are assigned. Tasks will include drafting business and transactional documents, assisting with cases in litigation. i.e. preparing/responding to discovery, attending court, and performing legal research.

We are looking for someone who different, dynamic, and determined who can aggressively represent our clients’ interests and positively represent the brand and image of Ebony Law.

Our ideal applicant has 2-5 years of experience, preferably focused on and having professional interests and experience related to Business and corporate contracts.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide legal support and guidance

• Assist with drafting legal documents, including motions and pleadings

• Assist with the discovery process by administering depositions, issuing interrogatories, and reviewing documents

• Negotiate settlements

• Perform legal research

• Make court appearances as necessary

• Finding ethical solutions to legal matters

• Conduct initial consultations with potential clients

• Communicating with clients to understand their legal concerns and needs to help provide them with essential pieces of advice

• Strategizing on how to resolve the clients’ cases in a favorable and cost effective manner

• Building trustworthy relationships with clients

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school

• License to practice law

• Transactional experience (2-5 years)

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Analytical skills

• Attention to detail

• Technology savvy
