Innovative law firm in Bend, Oregon, is seeking an associate attorney licensed in Oregon. Our motto is "Excellence with Compassion When You Need It Most." We do primarily estate planning, probate, and trust administration. Experience with trust administration is a plus. Mentoring and training is available for the right candidate.
In the estate planning context, this position will include a lot of direct client contact, working with the estate planning paralegal as an integrated team, and drafting trusts and other estate planning documents. Willingness to learn from an experienced paralegal is a must. Experience and/or specialized education such as advanced estate plan drafting courses in law school or an LL.M. in Taxation is helpful.
Working closely our probate paralegal is also an important part of this job. The paralegal takes charge of ensuring deadlines are all met, so attorney must be willing to allow a paralegal to set the pace for probates. This attorney must be a self-starter. Enough life experience to be able to comfortably relate to grieving and stressed people is key. A keenness to contribute to our community is a must. I expect this person to be a rainmaker. Probate litigation work is possible for an attorney with experience in those areas.
