Energy Dispatch Director directs the real-time operations of energy dispatch centers. Responsible for ongoing transmission and distribution of energy. Being an Energy Dispatch Director aware of generation expectations and is responsible for minimizing risk and maximizing efficiency and economy. Requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Energy Dispatch Director demonstrates expertise in a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Typically reports to a top management. The Energy Dispatch Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be an Energy Dispatch Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. Solar Energy Solutions (SES) is seeking an experienced Operations and Maintenance Director to oversee and grow the ongoing operations of our portfolio of solar installations in Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio, and the surrounding states. This position will report to the VP of Engineering and will be responsible for ensuring the safe and reliable operation of our existing assets, as well as continually improving our maintenance and monitoring processes to maximize system performance and uptime. The Operations and Maintenance Director will work closely with our engineering and construction teams as well as our customers to resolve any issues and optimize system performance. This is an exciting opportunity to join the region's largest and most experienced solar design, engineering, and construction company.
Responsibilities- Oversee a portfolio of solar installations in various industries
- Ensure that all solar installations are operating at optimal performance level
- Manage all aspects of operations and maintenance as well as troubleshooting for solar installations
- Manage service providers and contractors during installation and maintenance work
- Develop and manage various maintenance programs, such as preventative maintenance programs
- Handle emergency calls and assist clients with resolving solar issues
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of all maintenance schedules and completed work
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or related field
- 8 years of experience in operations and maintenance for solar or similar environmentally-conscious industries
- Previous experience of scheduling and overseeing maintenance and installations
- Familiarity with a variety of photovoltaic technology and systems
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to work well as a member of a team and independently
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Electrical License or experience is a plus.
