Energy Dispatch Director directs the real-time operations of energy dispatch centers. Responsible for ongoing transmission and distribution of energy. CET is urgently hiring for an Energy Auditor to work with homeowners primarily in South-Western Connecticut (New Haven and Fairfield counties) to identify energy efficiency and electrification opportunities for previously underserved communities.
The Energy Auditor is responsible for performing diagnostic tests, installing instant savings measures, and explaining program offerings and incentives. Energy auditing experience preferred, but not necessary. We will train the right candidate who has the base skills for the job!
Primary Function
Energy Audits: Conduct energy audits of existing homes, including combustion safety tests and other diagnostic tests. Analyze data. Install instant savings measures such as aerators, light bulbs and thermostats while onsite. Using software, quantify savings and produce reports documenting recommendations, including building electrification opportunities.
Customer Service and Sales: Provide excellent customer service during and after the audit. In particular: listening to customers to understand their needs and motivations; clearly and intelligently answering customer questions as relate to energy efficiency and electrification; effectively communicating recommended energy saving measures; following up with customers as needed.
Data and Project Management: Ensure that recommendations comply with program requirements for incentives and rebates. Accurately enter audit data into appropriate databases and complete documentation and reports in a timely manner.

Vehicle Stipend: You use your own vehicle, and CET provides a monthly stipend of $750
Mileage Reimbursement: CET pays mileage at the prevailing IRS mileage rate (currently $0.67/mile).
Home Office Stipend: CET provides a monthly $85 stipend for your home internet and/or phone expenses.
