Energy Manager monitors the organization's energy usage. Develops and implements practices and procedures designed to reduce energy consumption and/or improve efficiency of usage. Being an Energy Manager prepares annual budgets associated with conservation programs. May research alternative/renewable energy technologies and determine their feasibility and cost-effectiveness. Additionally, Energy Manager requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Energy Manager work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. The position of Manager, Energy Efficiency & Conservation (EE&C) Programs, is responsible for all elements of UGI’s Natural Gas and Electric Energy Efficiency programs. From initial development, through filing and ongoing management and reporting, this role will coordinate all internal and external resources, including but not limited to Rates, Marketing, Communication, Accounting and Legal personnel, as well as external consultants and vendors in order to effectively administer a suite of Energy Efficiency programs. This role will also manage all Energy Efficiency & Conservation regulatory reporting requirements, as well as assist with Base Rate Case testimony, discovery, and settlement negotiations for all Energy Efficiency & Conservation matters, while also providing broader support as needed with Customer Programs (low-income assistance programs) regulatory filings.
